Construction

NEW TRANSPORTATION DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES

Due to the new high school building construction our procedures for dropping-off and picking-up students will change due to the following safety reasons:

1. Personal vehicle traffic may not use the bus lane or fire lane between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  This is due to only one entrance and exit for the students and public to enter the building Door 1.  The auditorium door #3 is no longer there due to construction.  Students still have the ability to exit the building in evacuation situations at other doors not affected by construction.

2. Parent’s dropping students off that wish to escort their students into the building must legally park their cars in the lot and walk them across the parking lot and bus/fire lane.   We will have some supervision from 7:50 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. to assist students in crossing the above areas.  Parents may drop students off by the handicapped parking area sidewalk for them to walk across into the building on their own.

3. Parent’s may pick their students up at the end of the day by parking in the parking lot and coming in to get their student to leave.  This is also the procedure we will use for picking students up during the day for appointments.

4. Under no circumstances should a car be parked in the bus/fire lane during the hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Cars parked in these designations will be subject to District calling law enforcement or having their vehicle towed for the safety of all student, parent, visitors, and employees.
