ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday, February 21, 2018

Food Occ/Ranger Rock café will be open to students starting this week.  Please make sure you read the following rules:

 Student rules when going to the Ranger Rock Café’ (Food Occ):

  1. Students must have a pass from a teacher.
  2. Going to Food Occ is a reward therefore only students with passing grades (no failures or incompletes) from 2nd quarter and no disciplinary write ups during 3th quarter are allowed to visit.
  3. When in Food Occ a purchase must be made and you will behave as you would out in public or you will be asked to leave and not be allowed back.
  4. “Take out”, for students, is not allowed-do not try to get a Food Occ student to order for you or you will get them and yourself into trouble.
  5. We will be open to students during 1st, 2nd, and 5th hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only.

Thank you to all of you who participated in the Women of Today food drive competition.  277 items of food were donated.  Junior high donated 118 items of food and senior high donated 159 items of food.  It was a great success and the Women of Today thanks all of you.

UMD Business Day will held March 5th at UMD from 9:10-2:30 for any 9th-12th grader considering in a career in business.  Students must provide their own transportation.  Register online at lsbe.d.umn.edu/businessday.  See Mrs. Hultman with any questions.

UMD Science and Engineering Day will be held March 17th from 8:30-2:30 for middle school and high school students considering a career in the STEM field.  Students must provide their own transportation.  Register online at www.scse.d.umn.udu/outreach.  See Mrs. Hultman with any questions.

Driver’s training will be offered at MIB starting March 19th. It will be held from 3:30-6:30 in the high school cafeteria. If this date does not work for you there are other offerings starting as early as February 21st.

Lake Country Power is sponsoring a free trip to Washington D.C. in June 2018 through the Rural Electric Youth Tour.  High school juniors and seniors whose parents or legal guardians pay their electric bill to Lake Country Power are qualified to apply.  See Mrs. Hultman to pick up an application or go to www.lakecountrypower.ccop if you're interested.  Deadline is March 2nd
